Project Timeline

Unfortunately, due to traveling restrictions, the kick off meeting of the Skills4Parents project had to take place virtually on the 23rd November 2020. All the participating organizations took part in a fruitful discussion related to the project’s main objectives and the next steps for implementation. Other aspects of the project such as the Quality Assurance and the Dissemination Plan were also discussed and agreed upon. More emphasis was given on the analysis of the First Intellectual Output: Methodological Framework which will pave the way for the next steps.

Following the TPM1, in December 2020 the consortium set deadlines and started working on preliminary research for the first Intellectual Output. The partners are currently working on producing case studies as well as questionnaires to establish an initial contact with the target group. Once the participants are found, each partner will proceed with focus groups and interviews in order to identify the needs and gaps of the target group. Furthermore, each partner will generate a national report including the findings of the discussions that will take place during the focus groups and interviews. Lastly, a comparative report developed by the consortium with the overall findings from all the countries.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Skills4Parents organised a preparatory TPM2 meeting online on the 29th June 2021. During the meeting, partners discussed how they will proceed with IO2 and IO3. Additionally, the project meeting took place in Protaras, Cyprus on the 18th October 2021 and was organised by EACG. The partners finally had the chance to meet face-to-face and discuss matters related to the IO2 Guide for Parents, the C1 training as well as updates related to quality assurance.

Between the 19th and the 21st of October, the consortium finally met face2face for the first time in Protaras, Cyprus for the C1 training activity. EACG organized a hybrid event as some of the partners could not attend the meeting physically.
During the 4-day training session, each partner organisation presented their learning package to the other partners as well as to professionals and parents that attended the training physically.

In the second Intellectual Output, partners developed a detailed 'Parents Guide' to provide a different self-learning packages to boost their parenting skills, aiming to improve both child and family well-being. And the 'Handbook for Professionals working with parents and families' who wish to use the self-learning content of the Skills4Parents Learning Guide and integrate it to their work with parents and families.

The 3rd Translational Project Meeting of the project was organized online on the 18th February 2022 by DLEARN (ITALY). The meeting was supposed to take place in Milan, but unfortunately, Covid restrictions did not allow partners to attend the meeting physically. During the meeting, the following matters were discussed: Project management issues, Dissemination, Quality, and final remarks regarding IO2. In addition, Emphasys Centre presented the draft version of the online platform & community, as well as the timeframe and upcoming tasks of IO3.

In the third Intellectual Output, partners developed 'the online digital platform and community'. The Skills4Parents online platform intends to improve parents’ personal growth, communication and parenting skills and enhance the skills of professionals.

The project’s 4th and final Translational Project Meeting took place in Zagreb, Croatia on the 16th of September 2022. During the meeting, the partnership discussed any remaining issues related to project results, dissemination, reporting, and sustainability matters.

On September and October 2022, in each partner country each partner organised a multiplier event in which they presented all the project results (Intellectual Outputs) and they promote the SKILLS4PARENTS project.
