During this initial stage the consortium developed a methodological framework which served to validate the project topic and focus, engaging the target groups in the project: parents and professionals working with parents.
This work included a literature review of effective approaches to the development an educational methodology, focus groups and interviews with professionals and parents to discuss and validate the project topics and strategies and questionnaires to collect feedback from the target groups. The feedback from these activities was then analysed and included in a Europrean comparative report.
The participation of the target groups during the educational material methodology development provided an important reality check, playing a key role in understanding and adapting the learning contents to the target group’s needs.
